The Mission of RDLA is to promote music and the Arts for youth in Northern California.
OUR PURPOSE...
We seek to accomplish our Mission by screening and approving private grants for schools, camps, choirs, directors, workshops and students.
A BRIEF HISTORY.......
Rancho De Los Amigos (RDLA) was founded by Peggy and Gus Noland in 1969 as a California non-profit 501c3. Gus and Peggy met after college while serving as summer interns at David and Margaret, a Methodist orphanage in LaVerne CA. Their dream as a couple had always been to start some form of ministry or organization that would reach disadvantaged youth primaily through music and the arts. In 1994 the couple founded Sierra Mountain Music Camp and later the RDLA Foundation to further their goal of supporting youth through music and arts.
Our Core Values
We believe that music and the arts can be used to reach youth of all ages by:
supporting parents and families
supplementing students academic progress
supporting the research that music and the arts are critical to students reaching their full potential
